Saint Thomas is an island in the Caribbean Sea and a district of the United States Virgin Islands (USVI). It is the port of Charlotte Amalie which was settled around 1500 B.C. by the Ciboney people. It was found by Christopher Columbus in 1493, when he went on his second voyage to tour discover the “New World.”
St. Thomas offers lots of activities to the travelers to keep them busy through out the day. They can enjoy aerial tour of the island, go under water and enjoy scuba diving, get massages or enjoy hiking in the Virgin Islands National Park.
You can also have the view of 18th century city planning by walking up or down the 99 steps in St. Thomas. The fort, canons, watch towers, museums and historic houses tell the local history of the island.
There are other alternatives also to go for apart from viewing the city. You can enjoy shopping and dining in best restaurants of the island. St. Thomas is a perfect destination for vacation.
